Plant Expansion
In late 2007, we were awarded a pipe project.  The project requirement was for the pipe to be exterior abrasive blasted using White Lightning, however our blast booths are set-up to use steel grit only.  In order to comply with the contract, we purchased and installed a portable building we secured to our existing facility along with adding rail and paving the adjacent work area.  The building is 2,700 ft2 and allows us to blast the pipe within it while processing other work through our existing blast booths.  This building will have other uses such as blasting stainless steel fabrications with specialty abrasives and other fabrications larger than our existing blast booths.  Blastech continues to meet present and future industry requirements.
